Last year, The world Bank published its list of 2015 GDP Ranking for every country in all the 7 Continent. Although the top 5 Countries in the world were United States, China, Japan, Germany and The United Kingdom, we’ve decided to explore even further by taking a look at the ranking of all African Countries by their GDP.

You can scroll down to find out where your country ranks among all 58 African Countries. But if you want to know the top 5 and the lowest 5 by GDP in 2015, here they are:

HIGHEST Five (Starting with the country with the highest GDP):

  • Nigeria, (West Africa, $569 Billion)
  • South Africa, (Southern Africa, $350 Billion)
  • Egypt, (North Africa, $287 Billion)
  • Algeria, (North Africa, $214 Billion)
  • Angola (Central Africa, $138 Billion)

LOWEST Five (Starting with the country with the lowest GDP):

  • São Tomé and Principe, (Central Africa, $1 Billion)
  • Comoros, (Eastern Africa, $1 Billion)
  • The Gambia, (West Africa, $1 Billion)
  • Guinea-Bissau (West Africa, $0.6 Billion)
  • Seychelles (Eastern Africa, $0.3 Billion)

    1. Good catch. At the time of publication, the GDP numbers for Egypt were not available. The report has now been updated with Egypt which ranks the third highest. This unfortunately bumps Morocco from the Top 5 list
