  • Benin was named after the ‘Bight of Benin’ in 1975 based on water on which it lies on.
  • Capital: Porto Novo
  • Largest Cities: Cotonou, Porto Novo
  • Languages: French, Fon and Yoruba.
  • Major Exports: cotton, Nuts, Gold and other items.

REPUBLIC OF BENIN – GDP Raking among all other African Nations:
In 2015, The World Bank ranked Benin 37 out of all 56 African Nation with a GDP estimate of US Dollars $10 Billion
